Ken was born in Markdale, Ontario into the Agnew Family of Dundalk, as Kenneth Bryan Agnew and lived for a breif period of time in Dundalk, Ontario before moving to Toronto where he was adopted by the Bice Family of Mimico the town in which he was raised. Ken moved to York Region (Aurora, Ontario in 1979) and has resided in the York or Durham regions since. He presently resides in the Durham Region in the town of Uxbridge, Ontario.
He is a graduate of Royal York Collegiate Institute in Business and Commerce as well as Compujter Systems and Programming from Humber Colledge of Applied Arts and Scinces. His business career was primarily in Information Technology developing Systems as an Information Systems Manager. He changed careers and studied accounting through the Certified General Accountants of Ontario and continues to work in the accounting and consulting field for several manufactuing companies. Ken is also a graduate of the Canadian Institute of Certified Administrative Managers C.A.M. (Certified Administratvie Manager) designation . He is also a gaduate of the Canadian Institute of Management and holds both the Professional Manager (P.Mgr.) and Chartered Manager (F.CIM) designations.
Ken is also an Ordained Minister in several churches. He received his Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) degree from Trinity Institute and was Ordained into their Church Ministries.. He is presently an Ordained Minister with All Seasons Church of Canada with a Pastoral charge of Uxbridge, Ontario. Ken has also assisted the Rector, Mt. Rev. Dorian A. Baxter of Christ the King, Graceland, Independent Anglican Church of Canada , a Church affiliated with the Federation of Independent Anglican Churches of North America.with Weddings and Worship Services.
Ken has been a student of Music since he was four years old. He studied piano, clarinet, saxaphone, accordion, organ and drums, before settling on the Great Highland Bagpipe. Ken served with the Canadaian Armed Forces and held the rank of Pipe Major and has been involved in piping since 1961-62.. He was the official piper several Lt. Governors of Ontario (the Honorable Pauline McGibbon, John Black Aird and Lincoln Alexander). Ken is known as "THE PIPING PADRE" and he still active in the Piping community (visit his piping web site: piperforalloccasions.com for more information and services provided.
Ken enjoys officiating at various events, especailly weddings as they are a most joyful of events. Ken is still actively working as a consultant in the accounting field as well as Priest with Christ the King, Graceland, Independent Anglican Church of Canada and as a Minister with All Seasons Church of Canada and wedding officiant with All Seasons Church of Canada's Outreach Program All Seasons Weddings. Ken chose this method of serving his community and surrounding area as All Seasons Weddings is a charitable driven service organization in support of the Clergy Support Network and a number of charitable organizations such as World Vision, Habbitate for Humanity, Operation Go Home, The International Justice Mission, Freedom House and The Mission.
Ken has been heavily involved in various fraternal organizations and their charitable works over many years and continues to work in this area both in the community and within the Church.
Ken is also a member and registered chaplain with the" International Chaplains Association " and with "The Emergency Medical Chaplains Association" and is involved with Chaplaincy work with serveral organizations.
Ken is still growing in his life long education and experiences. Much of his informal education and understanding comes from his meeting people of all walks of life through his Piping and Wedding Officiating. He is ttill growing in his experiences and hopefully with continue to grow for some time to come through meeting new people during his travels and ministry, wedding officiating and piping activities.
